Documents Required before Oral Presentation in the Kenya Science and Engineering Fair KSEF

The following are the must have documents by the students during the science project presentation:

1. The data file (not an exercise book)

The data file is one of the most important documents that should be presented to the judges before the oral presentation begins.

The data file is the core evidence that research was actually done and should include work plans, consultations, experiments, photos of actual experimentation. The activities should span a period of time.

2. Write up/ project report

An organized and printed project write up or report is another vital document. A Write up should be of font 12, double spaced, times roman, and no distractions whatsoever.

A quality write up for KSEF should reflect the following:

  • Clear identification of gaps ( significance) in chapter two
  • The methodology is very systematic and workable
  • Apparatus and requirements (reagents) are quoted quantitatively and qualitatively
  • The procedure should be complete, logical, and workable
  • Observations made should be based on a procedure
  • Data generated is from several experiments or examples
