Mwalimu, Have You Tackled This KEMIS Onboarding Yet? Grab Some Tea and Let’s Do It

Tea Break Tales: The New System in Town

Greetings, Walimu! Grab a cup of tea, pull up a chair, and let’s talk about the latest elephant in the staffroom: the KEMIS onboarding.

You know how it is. Just when we have mastered one portal, another one pops up demanding passwords we can barely remember. But don’t worry, I finally cracked this headache between my Form 3 Math lesson and our mid-morning tea break.

Step-by-Step: Surviving the Login Maze

Let me save you the frustration of staring blankly at the screen. It is actually quite straightforward if you know the trick.

Phase 1: The ‘Forgot Password’ Dance

First, open your favorite browser and head over to the KEMIS landing page. You might also want to keep teacher.co.ke bookmarked for more of our TSC updates while you are at it.

Tap that login icon. Here is the funny part: put your email address as the username, but completely ignore the password field! Yes, skip it like a skipped lesson on Friday afternoon. Instead, click on ‘Forgot Password’.

The system will ask for your username again. Just feed it the exact same email address and hit submit.

Phase 2: The Email Hunt

Now, leave the portal and run to your email inbox. You will find a system-generated password waiting for you. Copy that long mix of letters and numbers.

Head back to the KEMIS login page. Enter your email again, and paste that system password.

Phase 3: Making It Yours

You are in, but you must change the password. The system is strict—it wants 8 digits with varying characters. Make it something you will remember, maybe your TSC number mixed with your favorite tea brand? Just kidding, make it secure!

Once changed, you will be thrown out again. Just log in one last time with your email and the new password. Presto! You will land on a page showing the SCQASO of your subcounty.

Now, finish your tea before the bell rings. We have CBC records waiting! Let me know if you get stuck.
