List of Secondary Schools on Spot for Dismissing BOM Teachers to Avoid Paying Nov-Dec Salaries
Teachers on the social media platforms have generated a list of secondary schools that are accused of hiring and firing Board of Management (BOM) teachers at will without tangible reasons.
The listed schools are accused of firing the board teachers, especially when approaching the long November – December holidays to save on the two month salaries.
‘Avoid these schools like plague…’, advised a teacher in one of the Teachers’ Whatsapp group.
This list comes at a time when the teachers service commission TSC is planning to carry out the intern teachers interviews to help address the teachers shortage.
